1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using dashboardesk.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and any additional terms referenced herein. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not access or use the Site. Your continued use of the Site after we post changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms form a binding agreement between you and Dashboardesk (“we”, “us”). If you are using the Site on behalf of an employer or another entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these terms.

2. License to Use Content

We grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free licence to access and read the tutorials, articles, tables and other textual content on the Site for your own learning and reference. You may print or download reasonable extracts for your personal, non-commercial use, provided that you do not remove any copyright or proprietary notices.

You may not republish, redistribute, sell, sublicense, host or frame the textual content of the Site on any other website, training platform or paid course without our prior written permission. Quoting short excerpts with attribution and a link back to the original tutorial is fine and encouraged.

3. Code Examples

All source code examples published on the Site are licensed under the MIT License. You are free to copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute and use the code in your own projects — personal, academic or commercial — without attribution, although a credit link is appreciated. The code is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, as set out in the MIT License.

When a tutorial clearly builds on a third-party library (for example, Spring Boot or a JDBC driver), that library retains its own license. You are responsible for complying with the licenses of any third-party code you combine with our examples.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use of the Site. Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation: (a) attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, its server or database; (b) automated scraping at a volume that degrades service for other users; (c) introducing viruses, trojans or other malicious code; (d) using the contact form to send unsolicited marketing or abusive messages.

We may restrict or terminate access for any user who, in our reasonable opinion, breaches these terms.

5. Intellectual Property

The Site itself, including its visual design, layout, logos, illustrations and the “Dashboardesk” name, is the property of Dashboardesk and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. You may not copy the design, the wordmark, or substantial parts of the visual presentation without our written permission. “Java” and the Java coffee cup logo are trademarks of Oracle Corporation; we use the word “Java” only to describe the subject of our tutorials and make no claim of affiliation.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We give no warranty that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free or free of harmful components, or that any defect will be corrected. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Our tutorials are educational material. They may simplify or omit edge cases for clarity. Always test code thoroughly before relying on it in production, and consult official documentation and your own judgement for serious decisions.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Dashboardesk be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Site; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Site; or (c) any code example obtained from the Site.

If you are in a jurisdiction that does not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for certain damages, the above limitations will apply to the extent permitted by law, but no more.

8. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to external websites (for example, the official Java documentation, library sites or tools we recommend). We do not control these external sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, privacy practices or availability. Your use of any linked site is at your own risk and subject to that site's own terms.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review these terms periodically. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
